Mike Maloney and Blake Edwards Successfully Defended a Construction Co. – 2016

In June 2016, Mike Maloney and Blake Edwards obtained Summary Judgment in Jefferson Circuit Court on behalf of a snow removal company that was sued for negligently removing snow and ice from a parking lot that allegedly caused Plaintiff to slip and fall.  Plaintiff argued that her untimely claims against the snow removal company related back to the timely filed original Complaint because the snow removal company shared a contractual identity of interest with the landowner.  The Court found that the statute of limitations had expired on Plaintiff’s claims, and therefore dismissed the claims against the snow removal company.
